The meeting place
At the Migrant Centre, we want to respond to the specific needs of migrants, but above all we just want to be with them. We want to create a meeting space so that all those who cross the threshold of our Centre may feel welcomed, feel that they are not alone. In addition to personal meetings, we invite foreigners to various events, i.e. Christmas Eve, carol singing, prayer and missionary meetings, and joint sightseeing of Warsaw.
Language courses
The Fu Shenfu Migrant Centre offers language lessons for refugees and migrants who plan to stay in Poland. Our goal is to teach Polish and other languages effectively and to present various aspects of Polish culture.
Our teachers are volunteers who teach foreigners from many parts of the world with joy, passion, and often with high creativity. Lessons are usually held in small groups, which promotes a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Currently, Polish language courses take place in our main office in Warsaw, ul. Osrtobramska 98.
Legalization of stay in Poland
We assist in administrative procedures related to legalization of stay. We provide advice, help in preparing applications and completing documents, in contact with appropriate offices.
Pastoral care of migrants
In our Centre we try to respond to the spiritual and religious needs of migrants. Two SVD fathers provide pastoral care among Vietnamese Catholics in Poland. Also sisters Franciscan Missionaries of Mary from Vietnam are involved in this ministry: Sr. Terexa BÙI Thị Lệ FMM. As part of our pastoral ministry, we celebrate the weekly Eucharist, give catechesis to prepare for the sacraments, conduct parish choir and Vietnamese language lessons for the youngest Vietnamese who were born in Poland.
Holy Masses in Vietnamese are celebrated in two places:
- Parish of Stanisław Kostka in Mroków, ul. Rejonowa 40 - every Saturday at 3:45 pm.
- The Parish of St. Hedwig of Silesia, Warszawa, ul. Modlińska 4 - every Sunday at 6:30 pm.
30 minutes before each Mass there are common prayers, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the opportunity of confession.
In Łódź, the Holy Mass in Vietnamese is celebrated on the second Sunday of the month.
The Centre supports the ministry among Spanish-speaking Catholics.
Every second Sunday of the month at 3 pm, also in the church of St. Hedwig of Silesia in Warsaw, there is a Holy Mass in English celebrated by priests from Africa who study theology at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University. Holy Mass is accompanied by music in African rhythms.
Together with the Sinicum Association, we also organize a monthly Holy Mass in Chinese (first Sunday of the month at 4 pm) in the Parish of St. Hedwig of Silesia in Warsaw.
In the Migrant Centre on Ostrobramska Street there is an opportunity to talk and get spiritual advice in English, French and Spanish (by appointment) and to read religious books and magazines in different languages.
